Ekadashi May 2024: Devotees of Lord Shri Hari Vishnu observed a vrat on the sacred day of Ekadashi, also known as Dev Gyaras. This significant day is observed on the eleventh day of the Krishna Paksha and the Shukla Paksha of each Hindu lunar month. Two Ekadashi fasts are observed each month; hence, 24 Ekadashi fasts are observed yearly. Observing a sincere fast on Ekadashi by avoiding grains, beans and tamasic food items is highly rewarding. The sacred Hindu texts suggest that by observing the vrat of Ekadashi, a human being can atone for all of their sins and attain liberation.
