ZENDAYA DEBUTS SECOND MET GALA LOOK: A DRAMATIC BLACK GOWN AND FLORAL HEADPIECE

One look was just the start of Zendaya’s big night of co-chairing the 2024 Met Gala. As the red carpet wrapped, the actress stepped back out again, wearing a dramatic black gown from Givenchy’s spring 1996 haute couture collection, along with an enormous floral headpiece.

The outfit change comes after she began the night in a peacock-inspired Maison Margiela navy and green gown.

Zendaya’s stylist Law Roach teased that her Met Gala look was coming together somewhat last minute. However, he didn’t reveal that there was more than one dress. He told The New York Times on Thursday that Zendaya’s fitting wasn’t until Saturday.

Zendaya walked the red carpet on her own, with her boyfriend, Tom Holland, remaining away from the New York City event. His London play, Romeo and Juilet, runs from May 11 to August 3.

Zendaya spoke to ELLE about her relationship with Roach in her September 2023 cover story. He was given the title of creative director then. “I ride super hard for my team, especially for people I love,” Zendaya explained. “He’s involved in every fashion contract, everything I do. If I have an opportunity where he can come with me, he’s always going to be there. He’s always been my creative director in a sense, and he continues to fill that role, because it’s more than just clothes on a red carpet.”

Roach praised Zendaya to ELLE, saying, “I’m grateful for her giving me the opportunity to shine. It’s not often that such a big superstar like that is very generous and understanding when someone wants to step out. She’s been one of my biggest supporters.”
