A frying pan from IKEA has wowed shoppers all over Australia - after the RecipeTin Eats founder unexpectedly raved about it.
Nagi Maehashi revealed she discovered HEMKOMST non-stick frypans, which perform just as well as high-end cookware brands - but cost much less.
'The best non-stick frypan is from IKEA,' Nagi said.
'I stopped buying $300 European brands years ago. This IKEA one does the job just as well, lasts just as long and is a fraction of the price.'
'28cm is my all rounder - good size for regular stove heating elements. 32cm for clams, you need a wide heat source and 24cm for nuts and a sunny side up egg.'
Stephanie Mullins was among the customers who got their hands on the frypans in three sizes - 24cm ($29.99), 28cm ($39.99) and 32cm ($49.99).
'So the brilliant thing that I got from Ikea... This is from Nagi, AKA RecipeTin Eats, who we all love and adore. It's the only frypans she will use... Can you believe it? Like someone who knows their stuff,' Stephanie said in her video.
After spending hundreds of dollars on luxury cookware brands including Le Creuset and Scanpan, she decided to take the RecipeTin Eats founder's advice.
'I've spent so much money on frypans before... Especially when it's like the non-stick, they all end up the same, I swear, they all end up gross and scratched.
'Then I followed her advice. I bought three. So I bought the 24cm, 28cm and the 32cm. They were so inexpensive.'
Her video has been viewed more than 115,000 times - with many confirming the frypans from IKEA are 'great'.
'I bought them too on her suggestion a few months ago and have been loyal ever since! They work on induction too and are just really nice to use - big fan,' one said.
'I have them! And they're epic,' another shared.
'I bought one three months ago and can confirm it's fabulous,' one revealed.
'They are great! So worth the price. I've had mine for two years and they look good as new,' another added.
Many revealed they were keen to upgrade their old frypans, with one sharing: 'I need a new pan, and have been putting it off due to the cost. Off to IKEA I go.'
The video comes after Nagi revealed she discovered the IKEA frying pans after a chef recommended them.
'I got the tip from a chef, read about it in an interview. He said he uses IKEA pans in his restaurant,' she explained.
The frying pan is made from stainless steel with a non-stick coating, is oven-safe, easy to use, and compatible with most hobs - including induction and gas.
'Works well on induction. Oven proof. Steep sides for max flat base searing area. My most used pan.'
Her recommendation sent fans wild, with one saying: 'If Nagi says they're the best, then you'd best believe I'm heading to IKEA.'
The frying pans have received more than 340 five-star reviews on IKEA's website, with one saying: 'One of the best fry pans we've used. We purchased one, and then returned to purchase another one. Love it.'
'After reading an article on RecipeTin Eats saying how good these pan are, we decided to try them. So far they are amazing. Beautifully well balanced and easy to clean. We are careful to only use silicon or wood utensils and we wash and dry them as soon as possible after use. Love cooking with them,' another shared.
'In Nagi we trust! Based on her recommendation, I bought two sizes of the HEMKOMST pan and our family loves them. Outperform our expensive pans, easy to cook with, easy to clean, perfect size for a family dinner (28cm) and meals for one (24cm),' one revealed.
'This is the best frypan I have ever used! Cooks evenly, and so very easy to clean! I will now save up to buy a couple more of the set - and I can hardly wait to get them! And thanks Nagi Maehashi for the recommendation,' another added.
