Vishwakarma Jayanti 2025 February: Rituals

On Vishwakarma Jayanti, devotees worship Lord Vishwakarma with great fervour and enthusiasm. The day begins with the ritualistic puja of Lord Vishwakarma, where devotees offer prayers, flowers, and sweets to the deity. Artisans, craftsmen and engineers also worship their tools and instruments, seeking the blessings of Lord Vishwakarma for success and progress in their work.

As part of the rituals, devotees also perform the ritual of "puja" of machines and vehicles, such as cars, trucks and factory equipment. This ritual is believed to purify and sanctify the machines, ensuring their smooth functioning and safety. Devotees also offer prayers and perform aarti, a ritual of waving lamps, to seek the blessings of Lord Vishwakarma.

The rituals of Vishwakarma Jayanti conclude with the distribution of prasad, sacred offerings, to all the devotees. This is followed by a grand feast, where devotees share food and joy with their family and friends.
