There’s no denying the power of a good collaboration, and, call us biased, but the power is amplified when the world of fashion and beauty collide. Take the viral Stanley Cup collaboration with Elizabeth Arden and the ELEMIS x Shrimps partnership as prime examples – both edits sold out instantly. The latest collaboration we're bookmarking in our calendars? Tove x Merit – and we’re predicting big things.

Of course, the choice to collaborate on a glossy, champagne hued bag makes perfect sense - both the make-up brand Merit and fashion house Tove are renowned for beautiful, understated aesthetics. Created with the elegant minimalist in mind, the new limited edition evening bag has been made with vegan silk material and is brilliantly versatile - it can be worn as either a clutch or shoulder bag, and we're all about options.

Of the partnership Tove said, _'_Our partnership with the team at MERIT has been built upon a genuine friendship and shared ethos of creating a relaxed, refined aesthetic for our woman. Working together has been such a rewarding process and it was a pleasure to select our favourite pieces from the MERIT collection for the new set. We wanted to bring MERIT’s signature bag into an evening setting by leaning into the narrative of our Spring Summer 2024 collection. We played with the proportions of the bag, elongating the tie detail and providing a more angular perspective on its silhouette. Reimagining the fabrication in a soft mink satin lent an elevated, feminine feel to the bag that felt right for late summer nights.'

It's not the first time Merit has partnered with a fashion brand. In the autumn of last year, Merit teamed up with ongoing collaborative partner, Proenza Schouler on a reversible leather handbag. Inspired by Merit's signature makeup bag (the cord pouches have reached status symbol) the makeup bag/clutch hybrid became a cult accessory.

The new Merit X Tove bag collaboration is already being touted as repeating the sell out success. Keen to get your own? The Merit X Tove iteration lands on on the 26th of June, shipping free with orders over £100.
